SERVICE CONDITIONS

The final color achieved by any wood stain will be affected by the natural color of the wood. Even wood from the same species may vary in color. It is always recommended to test the stain first on a small area to ensure that the final color is as desired.

MATERIAL PREPARATION

Thoroughly shake the can before opening.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Sand surface until the wooden surface is smooth to the touch and no slivers or rough edges remain.

Dust off surfaces completely then wipe with a clean rag. If repainting, remove all paint by wire brushing or scraping.

PAINTING SCHEDULE

Using a brush, apply BOYSEN®® Oil Wood Stain to bare wood without primers or undercoats. Lightly brush or wipe over once along the grain to remove excess material and to smooth out any runs. Leave each coat for about 4-8 hours or until totally dry. Recoat for a darker shade.
