BOYSEN®® DECORe™ Sandino™

BOYSEN®® DECORe™ Sandino™ is a unique, water-based, semi-transparent decorative paint system that exudes the richness of sand with lustrous accents of gold or silver.

There's no need for elaborate intermixing of colors, complicated layering techniques, or sophisticated equipment. Effortless brushing is all that's needed to achieve this very exquisite finish.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Scrape off all loose, scaling, flaking, and peeling paint manually or by using BOYSEN®® Paint and Varnish Remover B‑141, as necessary. Wash surfaces clean and completely remove chemical residue. Let it dry.

For repainting concrete with chalky old paint, use BOYSEN®® Chalk Blocker™ B‑7304 as surface conditioner.

In case of mildew infestation, treat with a bleach solution (1:3, laundry bleach to water, respectively) by swabbing or brushing. To ensure proper treatment, let stand for 24 hours before cleaning off residue. Let dry.

Surface to be repainted should be clean and dry, free from oil, grease, dust and dirt, and all possible contaminants.

PAINTING SCHEDULE

Primer (resulting bare substrate): BOYSEN®® Permacoat™ Flat Latex B‑701

Putty:
BOYSEN®® Masonry Putty B‑7311

Colored Basecoat (2 coats): BOYSEN®® Permacoat™ Flat Latex (any desired plant-mixed color)

Decorative Topcoat:

Using a DECORe™ brush, apply Sandino™ in light, crisscrossing strokes, spreading it as evenly as possible.

Avoid lap marks by applying the product in sections. Leave a small gap in between the sections then just spot apply Sandino™ on the gaps right after to even it out.

NOTES

DECORe™ Sandino™ should only be applied as a decorative finish on surfaces that are properly painted with a flat topcoat.

For best results, the color of the flat topcoat should complement the effect of Sandino™ Gold or Sandino™ Silver.

Only use the provided BOYSEN®® DECORe™ Brush. The desired finish may not be achieved if a different material is used.
