BOYSEN®® DECORe™ Perlescente™

BOYSEN®® DECORe™ Perlescente™ is a decorative, environment-friendly paint finish that uses natural oxides to create interiors with hints of gold and silver gleaming through its strong or subtle colors. Its technologically advanced formulation blends resins in a water-based solution and provides metallic accents to give your home a beautiful atmosphere of exclusivity and prestige. Using simple techniques, one can easily replicate the stunning effects in any living space.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Allow new concrete to dry for 14-28 days under normal weather conditions before painting.

Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from oil, grease, dust, dirt, contaminants, and all loose grit and mortar.

If neutralizing, treat surface with a solution of 1 part BOYSEN®® Masonry Neutralizer B‑44 diluted in 16 parts water, applying liberally by brush or roller. Let dry overnight before rinsing with water to remove white crystals that form on the surface. Let dry before painting.

Note: If the concrete has been cured for more than 28 days, there is no need for neutralizer.

PAINTING SCHEDULE

Prime bare concrete with BOYSEN®® Permacoat™ Flat Latex B‑701.

Apply 1-2 coats of your desired matching DECORe™ Undercoat using brush, roller or airless spray.

Gradually mix about 200 grams of the matching Perla Di Luce toner into the DECORe™ Perlescente™ Base while ensuring that all metallic powder is fully wet. Use a mechanical mixer or power mixer to ensure full luster of the powder.

Apply the prepared mixture over the DECORe™ Undercoat using cross-hatch strokes. Blend in with the provided BOYSEN®® DECORe™ Brush.

After 5-10 minutes, smooth over the surface using the BOYSEN®® DECORe™ Scraper.

NOTES

Do not thin mixture with water or any solvent.

To obtain a perfect finish, it is necessary to apply BOYSEN®® DECORe™ Perlescente™ over its matching Undercoat. For example, if you choose the Pisa (green) color, the DECORe™ Perlescente™ B‑4858 Pisa Base must be applied on its B‑48055 Pisa Undercoat. If you choose Lucca (blue), DECORe™ Perlescente™ B‑4840 Lucca Base is applied after the B‑48054 Lucca Undercoat.

Only use the provided BOYSEN®® DECORe™ Brush and Scraper. The desired finish may not be achieved if a different material is used.
