Hudson® Polyurethane Floor Varnish Topcoat

DESCRIPTION:  Hudson® Polyurethane Floor Varnish Topcoat is an aromatic, two-component, urethane finish for wooden surfaces that cure to a tough, non-slip, mar resistant film.

PRINCIPAL USES: Excellent for wood parquet, counter-tops, and other wooden floorings (indoor use).

PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 20 - 25 sq.m./4 liters/coat

SURFACE DRY: Thirty (30) minutes

DRY THROUGH: One (1) hour

DRY FILM THICKNESS: 1.5 mils/coat

OVERCOATING INTERVAL: Recoat after 6 hours

APPLICATION: By camel brush or spray

THINNING: Hudson® Polyurethane Reducer

PACKAGING:
Hudson® Polyurethane Floor Varnish Topcoat - 3 liter can
Hudson® Polyurethane Floor Varnish Catalyst - 1 liter can

SURFACE PREPARATION:

New Wood:
1. Use only kiln dried wood.
2. Countersink nail heads for putty application.
3. Sand rough wood until smooth, then dust off before painting.
4. Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from dust, dirt and other foreign matter.

Old Wood:
1. Remove loose paint to sound surface.
2. Scuff sand intact film to provide anchorage for succeeding coats.
3. If old coating is oil-based, scrape all existing paint to bare surface.
4. Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from dust, dirt and other foreign matter.

MIXING:
Hudson® Polyurethane Floor Varnish Topcoat is mixed on a 3:1 ratio by volume to its catalyst. Enough material should be made for four hours work (maximum). Excess mixture will gel.

PAINTING SCHEDULE:
New Wood - Apply 1 to 2 coats of Hudson® Polyurethane Floor Varnish Sealer by brush or spray. Follow with 3 coats of Hudson® Polyurethane Floor Varnish Topcoat applied by spray. Allow 7 days to fully cure before allowing heavy duty use and 3 days for foot traffic abrasion.
